In addition to the financial contributions made by Feld Entertainment and the Ringling Bros. Why did "The Greatest Show On Earth" Close?

"For practical and sound reasons, the great Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus ended its illustrious 146 years when it closed on May 21, 2017. The Kenneth Feld Family put forth its reasons for closing the two 60-car plus train-traveling venues and while many, many people have been saddened with this decision, it should always be remembered that ALL successful business ventures must earn a profit or the enterprises will surely meet with failure. When the great Circus closed, it did so with much trepidation and anxiety on the part of the Feld Family (and many others) who owned this great Circus for over 50 years, and very likely they saved it from ending some years earlier!
And yes, the great Circus endured problems throughout its illustrious history. The Circus addressed each problem and did everything to "correct" and even "eradicate" problems once the management was made aware of each individual problem!
Ah, can the great Circus ever really disappear or die? Not likely! Why, and how, you say? Because the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus lives on in our hearts and in our psyche! If you ever were fortunate enough to attend a performance of this great Circus, well, it will always be a part of you. You never forget the time(s) you enjoyed this great family entertainment! One of the experiences you very likely will remember to the end of your life!
